Double Space Translations is a Korean–English translation studio providing professional translation for individuals, businesses, institutions, and organizations.
Led by an ATA-certified Korean–English translator and language expert, the studio combines linguistic precision with strong writing, editorial judgment, and close attention to context. Each project is approached with the understanding that effective translation requires more than replacing words from one language with another. It requires preserving meaning, tone, purpose, and the way a text is meant to function for its reader.
Our work spans official and immigration documents, legal and medical materials, academic and business content, technology-related projects, and literary and publishing work. Certified translation is available for documents requiring formal submission or verification.
For complex, sensitive, or high-stakes materials, particular attention is given to completeness, terminology, formatting, and fidelity to the source. The goal is always the same: translation that is accurate, natural, professionally prepared, and appropriate to its intended use.

About the Translator
Sera Yu, CT
ATA-Certified Translator® — Korean into English
Sera is a translator, writer, and editor with more than 20 years of experience and a master’s degree in writing. Born in Korea and raised in the United States from a young age, she developed a deep relationship with both languages early on. Her interest in language and literature led her to deepen her knowledge of Korean through extensive self-study, encouraged in part by her father, a writer fluent in both Korean and Japanese.
Her professional experience includes translation and research roles in corporate settings, teaching at the college level, and medical interpreting. She is an ATA-certified translator and a member of the National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT). Her work covers a number of specialized fields, with legal translation forming one of the central areas of her practice.
She has received an award from the Literature Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea), and her work has appeared in a number of literary journals. Her background in writing and research informs an approach centered on precise meaning, linguistic and cultural fluency, and sound editorial judgment. She takes professional and personal responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of every translation.
Through Double Space Translations, she works directly with clients across a wide range of projects while continuing her own work as a writer and literary translator. She is also currently developing a mentoring and certification support program for aspiring translators.
